Community Mental Health Teams

Camden & Islington Mental Health & Social Care Trust

Commenced October 2001 with the community mental health teams in South Camden. Identifying and training a local ‘Practice Development Team’ from November 2002, which is managed and supervised to introduce the ‘process’ into community mental health teams in North Camden from April 2003. Ceased in March 2004

The South Camden CMHT charts illustrate 3 points of evaluation for each of the teams engaged in this practice development initiative.

Working on specific and individual practice development projects from April 2004 (eg. CMHT Manager Peer Support Group, focusing on a model of CMHT intake).

Adapting the practice development approach to a trust-wide ‘Clinical Risk Review’ across 2005.

North Tottenham CMHT

Facilitating a team development away-day [September 2005]

South Tottenham CMHT

An 8-day programme of practice development including team interviews and evaluation to inform the priorities for team development. [2006/7]

South Norfolk Recovery Team

A 2-day programme examining the Strengths Approach and its creative application to delivering the CPA. [April 2008]

Camden & Islington Foundation NHS Trust

Specific team development sessions in response to team-identified needs from half-day to two-day contracts with a range of Adult and Older Persons community teams [from 2008]

Haringey START and Support & Recovery Teams

A 5-day programme of practice development focused on the practice of working with risk. [Delivered between October 2008 and May 2009]
